Design patents were issued on January 7, 1958, however, the Moderne was not put into production, as it was considered to be too radical a design for the time. In 1982 it was made in limited numbers as part of Gibson's historic series. This example serial number E 006 is in amazing original condition with no dents, dinks or play wear. It is in the rarest colour ivory. This has aged to a cream colour and looks stunning. It comes in its original case and paperwork.
I must confess to not expecting too much from the guitar. Boy was I wrong! It has a great fat tone, so it should. Gibson fitted reissue PAF pickups. It can do anything from blues to metal with ease.
A rare collectors grade guitar that plays and sounds fantastic.
