In 2005 the Southern United States were devastated by one of the
fiercest hurricanes in history. With staggering ferocity, hurricane
"Katrina" destroyed all in her path, and leveled much of New Orleans
in the process.
The Gibson Music Rising guitar features hand-painted designs using
the colors of Mardi Gras. Each guitar is individually painted and
handmade so no two are alike. All of the usual plastic parts (back
plate, pick guard, toggle cover, truss rod cover) have been replaced
by woods from the States affected by the hurricanes and the Music
Rising logo, exclusive to this guitar, is etched into the pick guard.
As a guitar it is 100% Gibson Les Paul and is a joy to play, we have
gently flattened out some of the paint on the rear of the neck as
these high spots could be felt when the guitar was played. It has a
very powerful fat distinctive sound and is a perfect tool for rock. A
truly individual guitar hand built and individually painted in the USA.
Comes with its Gibson hard-case and free Schaller strap-locks.
