A stunning looking Gibson Les Paul Double Cutaway. This guitar was obviously Gibson's answer to Paul Reed Smith's PRS guitars. What an answer it is. AAA maple top, gold hardware, twenty four fret neck, two humbuckers, three way selector, one volume and tone control. The result is a world beating instrument that is built using all of Gibson's traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
My first impressions playing the guitar were what a fantastic neck, it is somewhere between a fifties and sixties neck profile. I was soon ripping out licks, chords and solos as if I had been playing this guitar all my life. It sounds very similar to mt 1970 Les Paul custom, with warm fat mids but with great bite.
