Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty 1970
This is a guitar that has been gigged all of its life. It has inhaled smoke at gigs all around the world. The binding is yellowed with age, there are nicks in the bodywork and some wear to the back of the neck..........WHO CARES? this guitar rocks. This guitar has a fantastic husky tone. It must be all the years of breathing in cigarette smoke. It is a stonking guitar to play and blows me away every time I plug it in. Great sustain, great tone and a great vibe. It is not a light guitar (more of a Lead Paul than a Les Paul) In my opinion a Les Paul should be heavy both in weight and in tone and this meets the criteria.....I think l should give it a bit of a test play again!!...............I love it.
