Gibson Les Paul Custom 1954 Reissue with Humbuckers.
Built in the Gibson Custom Shop in 1997. This guitar exudes quality, with its high gloss black finish and gold hardware it looks absolutely stunning.
Being a 1954 reissue it would have originally been fitted with P90 pickups, these have been replaced with a pair of Gibson humbuckers. I consider this an excellent upgrade and one which makes this guitar the same specification as a 57 reissue and a much more versatile instrument because of it.
It has the big fat fifties style neck which I really like, I find it improves sustain and is really comfortable to play for extended periods, as the hand is supported by its thickness. Sound wise it has a bright edge to the tone, with both the bridge and neck pickups having no trace of muddiness and the tone cuts through when played with a band. This truly is a black beauty.
Comes with its Gibson hard-case and free Schaller strap-locks.
