Played through a valve amp this guitar can produce an unbelievable range of tones. It is fitted with two blues 90 pickups and buried in the body is a hum cancelling dummy coil, this helps retain the classic single coil sound but with much reduced noise. If you are looking for a fat Les Paul humbucker tone then buy a Les Paul, if however you want something a little different with a large range of inspirational tones, you could do a lot worse than try this guitar.
The neck is set at the 16th fret, and the heel-less construction and deep cutaway allow easy access to the highest frets. The 25 1/2" scale is the standard Fender length, and the wider fret-spacing makes bending very easy on the highest frets. Width at the nut is 1 & 5/8" , and the neck has a very comfortably slim "V" shape. Tuning machines are enclosed, Kluson Deluxe-style with white, keystone-shaped keys, and the low-profile bridge is similar to a Telecaster's, i.e., with individual saddles and the strings running through the body. All the hardware is gold plated.
All in all a remarkable guitar. Every time I plug it in I discover another sound. Truly
inspirational.
