Custom Shop Historic 1959 Les Paul flame top. Near Mint condition
Since I was knee high to a grass hopper I have wanted a 1959 flame top Les Paul. I have had the pleasure of playing a few in my time and I have to say that the Gibson custom shop have got it spot on with this guitar. The neck is exactly right with that fifties chunkiness and feel. Bundles of output from the bridge humbucker means this guitar snarls and growls like a caged tiger and the notes ring on like a church bell played with a sledge hammer. The neck pickup is pure and smooth with incredible sustain. No wonder Jimmy Page used one in Led Zeppelin, it is an incredible guitar. From the most bluesy tones to completely outrageous searing rock tones all in one stunning flame topped package. This guitar is truly remarkable and a real testament to the luthiers in the Gibson custom shop. If I had to own one Les Paul it would have to be this one. You may have gathered.....I quite like this guitar.
Comes with its Gibson vintage style hard-case and free Schaller strap-locks.
